As the 2020 swim season approaches, it’s clear this will be a summer like never before. In this webinar, you’ll learn how to implement a virtual in-service program to train staff in time for pool openings, as well as how to manage budget, communication and customer service issues. Speakers Adam Thompson, CPRP, AFO from the City of Austin, Texas and Jim Lemke, AFO, of Columbus, Indiana will discuss the current challenges facing aquatic facilities staff and the solutions that can be implemented.

Jim Lemke, AFO

Aquatics Director, Columbus, IN Parks & Recreation Department

Jim has worked with Columbus Indiana Parks and Recreation for 17 years and served as their Aquatics Director for 15 years. Jim has also held AFO certification for 15 years. 

Adam Thompson, CPRP, AFO

Recreation Program Coordinator, Austin Parks & Recreation Department

Adam has worked as a lifeguard/in the aquatics industry for over 12 years. Graduated from Texas State with a minor in Recreation Administration and Middle Tennessee State University with a Masters and Sport and Leisure Management. He has worked in various recreation settings to include MWR with the federal government, collegiate recreation, and local municipalities. For a brief period he worked at Dell Technologies where he had the opportunity to learn a great deal about technology. Currently, with City of Austin where he oversees the operations of Texas’s 5th largest spring, Barton Springs Pool.
