How to Manage Playground Risk and Prevent Liability Claims

During this 60-minute session, we will take a chronological look at two playground liability claims. Attendees will get a chance to see what takes place behind the scenes from the time of an incident occurs to when it is settled as well as the costs associated with each claim.

Learning Objectives 

Following this session, learners will be able to:

1. Recognize the importance of regular inspections and preventive maintenance.
2. Understand the value of the Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI) training program.

Drawing on more than 25 years in the industry, Greg provides operational risk management support, advice, and counsel to public municipalities, public schools and colleges and universities. He assists his clients in the identification and correction of potential risks and hazards that may result in injury, loss, property damage or lawsuits. He also facilitates regional and on-site training sessions and conducts presentations for conferences and individual clients.

Greg is a Certified Safety Inspector Program instructor for the National Recreation and Parks Association, an instructor of ALICE – Violent Intruder Response Training, and a Certified School Risk Manager. He is also a firearms instructor thru the NRA and USCCA and volunteers in the FASTER Saves Lives program for school safety.
