Please note that this clinic involves two components: a pre-recorded talk and a live clinic. Please see the components tab to watch this pre-recorded video and complete the pre-work.

Are you a park and recreation professional with little to no evaluation knowledge/expertise? Complete this pre-recorded talk AND a two-hour, hands-on, interactive clinic to learn about and practice developing a clear program logic model and evaluation plan. Using clear program descriptions and statements created in the prerequisite course, participate in hands-on exercises and use materials provided to plan evaluations for their own real-life programs. Leave this course with the confidence to plan a program evaluation that you can use to collect evidence to share with stakeholders and funders.

During the live clinic, engage in reading and listening to new instructional content; participate in thought and application exercises; engage in small and large group discussions and share-outs; and provide and accept feedback from peers and instructors. Activities will walk participants through course topics such as defining and creating a basic logic model, selecting appropriate measurable indicators and metrics, crafting evaluation questions, and documenting the next steps for building upon and executing program evaluation plans. Each attendee will be provided access to all materials reviewed and created during the session to use as a guide or starting point for evaluating their programs after returning to work. Please note that because this is an interactive session, it will not be available on-demand after the scheduled event.
