This webinar will provide education and awareness surrounding drug use, ways different drugs can be hidden, related signs and symptoms, and how to have a conversation about suspected usage. We will also discuss policies and procedures that can be implemented in the park and recreation setting. Information about the “Hidden in Plain Sight” training, a valuable resource to the field, will be shared with participants as well.

Vhelly has been in the field of Recreation for over 25 years. She is the Director for the West Allis-West Milwaukee Recreation and Community Services Department, where she has served in the role for the past 14 years. She leads a team of 14 full time staff and 300+ part time/seasonal employees in a community of approximately 64,000. Shelly is the current President of the Wisconsin Park and Recreation Association.
