Released March 2024! This on-demand talk will inform viewers of best practices around delivering an accessible virtual presentation. Viewers will acquire a foundational understanding of how to ensure their delivery styles, resources and session set-up are conducive to making attendees with and without disabilities feel as included and welcome as possible. Viewers will also gain access to tools and resources that will help them ensure their virtual presentation is accessible.

Learning Objectives:

1. Learners will be able to perform an accessibility check of their session resources.

2. Learners will be able to deliver virtual presentations that are inclusive of audience members with and without disabilities.

3. Learners will be able to provide their colleagues with three actions items to improve the accessibility of their virtual presentations.

Cayla Hammaker is Move United's Senior Education Manager. She offers 10+ years experience in the adaptive sports space, with over 5 of those years working as part of Move United's education team to identify and address training and education gaps in the adaptive sport industry. In her current role, Cayla oversees Move United's education initiatives, including an annual conference as well as an online learning management system. Prior to working with Move United, Cayla worked with New England adaptive sports programs that intersected largely with parks and recreation professionals. She offers insight into local programmatic considerations around adaptive sport in addition to insight into national progress across the adaptive sport industry. In her free time, Cayla enjoys volunteering in the community, trail running, hiking with her dog, and seeking new adventures.
