Everyone Belongs! Building Inclusive Recreation Programs Certificate

Everyone belongs — especially in recreation. This 10-module, self-paced certificate is designed for park and recreation professionals with field experience who are committed to expanding access to high-quality programs for people with disabilities. Participants will build practical skills to identify barriers, strengthen inclusive practices and create environments where everyone feels welcome and supported.

Module 4: Creating a Culture of Inclusion - Focuses on aligning leadership, staff, policies, facilities, and processes to embed inclusion across your agency.

Module 5: Strategies to Overcome Hurdles - Highlights practical strategies to address gaps in current practices and strengthen support for individuals with disabilities.

Module 6: Communication and Etiquette Best Practices - Builds awareness and skills for respectful, effective communication using inclusive language and etiquette.
