1. After attending this session, attendees will understand how compassion-driven practices support both employee and guest experiences.
2. After attending this session, attendees will gain confidence in training others to apply de-escalation and redirection techniques in tense/conflict situations and be able to identify the behaviors that signal the need for a "tap out" and escalation.
3. After attending this session, attendees will develop a roadmap to implement the Legendary Experiences framework as part of their workplace culture strategy.

With 18 years of leadership experience Anna has seen the pitfalls of a poor workplace culture both within the Military and municipal departments. She has dedicated the last 10 years of her career advocating for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) in the workplace. In addition to serving as the Culture & Experience Manager for P&R, she currently serves as the LGBTQ+ Liaison to the City Manager. Last year the City earned their highest MEI score. She also served as the City’s Inclusion & Diversity Council Chair for 3 years with her proudest accomplishment being the planning and implementation of a weeklong Belonging Summit for the entire City Workforce. She holds certifications from SHRM and the University of South Florida on Inclusive Workplaces and is a Certified Parks & Recreation Professional. Her DEIB and employee experience training hours total over 2,600 in the 5 years.

After graduating from the University of Maryland, Theresa began working for a big-name insurance company as an auto damage adjuster, where she was told by her Regional VP that as a female she would struggle to succeed in a male dominated industry. This single comment sparked a passion ignited her passion for facilitating organizational culture shifts by focusing on the employee experience. She is a 16-year HR and Business professional who prides herself on creating welcoming and inclusive work environments, built on fairness and consistency, where employees have a voice.
