The NRPA Directors School is an exclusive two-year professional development opportunity that prepares new and potential park and recreation directors to be effective leaders. Students who complete the program will leave with the knowledge and confidence to navigate emerging challenges, improve operations and maximize positive impact on their communities.
Event Management School
Festivals and events have become a valuable resource to communities. Over time, events have changed from informal affairs to spectacular productions, demanding extensive skills and experience. As a result, the International Festivals & Events Association (IFEA) and NRPA have partnered to create this two-year professional development program geared toward event management staff.
Park and Recreation Maintenance Management School
The Park and Recreation Maintenance Management School (MMS) is a comprehensive two-year professional development program designed to teach park and recreation professionals how to develop and manage a wide variety of maintenance.
Revenue Development and Management School
The Revenue Development and Management School is a comprehensive and unique professional development program focusing on proven revenue management and development techniques. It’s targeted towards agencies that rely wholly or in part on generating revenues, such as organizations associated with state or local parks, recreation, leisure services, military recreation and other nonprofits.
Supervisors' Management School
The Supervisors' Management School develops management and supervisory skills. The school will provide park and recreation professionals with the necessary tools to improve their ability to impact the day-to-day activities of their organization. For those who supervise employees, this school will provide a strong understanding of the principles of managing people and supporting co-workers and supervisors.
